Gadget Insurance
Our mobile phones and gadgets are some of our most important and invaluable possessions. They go everywhere with us and are often our lifeline! Sometimes this does mean that our gadgets are broken, lost or even worst-case stolen. This can end up ruining our day but Bettersafe offers insurance that allows you to protect your gadgets.
Levels of cover
Essential Plus Plan
- Each Gadget is insured up to £1,500 for Theft, Accidental Damage, Breakdown, Accidental Loss and Malicious Damage.
- Cover for accessories such as battery chargers, carrying cases and hands-free mounting kits up to a combined retail price of £250 (incl. VAT) that were lost or damaged at the same time as your gadget.
- Cover for Fraudulent Call use up to £1,000 and will only apply to unauthorised calls made within 24 hours of the discovery of the loss or theft of your phone.
- Cover for the use of your gadget anywhere in the world for up to a maximum of 90 days in any 12 month period.
- Single item policies have a claim limit of £3,000 per annum, but multi-item policies have no limit to the number of claims you can make on a policy.
- Please note, a policy excess is applied to each and every claim. This is the amount you must contribute towards the claim.
- The policy excess under the Essential Plus Plan is £100 for each and every claim. An additional excess of £50 will apply to each claim occurring within the first 30 days of policy purchase or within the first 30 days from the date any gadget being claimed for is added to the policy. This additional excess will apply to both the Essential Plus and Premier Plans
Premier Plan
- Each Gadget is insured up to £2,000 for Theft, Accidental Damage, Breakdown, Accidental Loss and Malicious Damage.
- Cover up to £1,000 for digital downloads held on the equipment you insure should you irretrievably lose these. Downloaded materials include music, games, videos, apps, ebooks or any other software you have downloaded for a fee.
- Cover for Accessories such as battery chargers, carrying cases and hands-free mounting kits up to a combined retail price of £250 (incl. VAT) that were lost or damaged at the same time as your gadget.
